Today the children will be taking home samples of the work that we have produced this year in Writing Rockets, they are keen to show you all of their hard work. 

I am very pleased with the effort put in and the progress made by everyone over the past year :)

Continuing with our World Cup focus, today we researched more about the host nation Brazil and found out some very interesting facts. For example, did you know that the language spoken in Brazil is Portuguese and that the colours of the Brazilian flag represent the sky, nature and wealth of the country?!

This week the World Cup kicked off, to celebrate we made up own acrostic football poems:

Football is our lives

Omg England won!

Oh yeah Argentina out

Take a shot

Brazil host the World Cup

Amazing players

Losing is the worst

Let's play the best we can

Oreo Truffles

First we crushed the Oreos.

Then we mixed in the cream cheese.

Then we rolled them into balls.

They tasted delicious!
