Miniature artists.

Inspired by a famous art who created miniature artwork in toilet rolls, we decided to try our own.

We used an art knife to cut precise pictures which would be used as a silhouette inside our roll. We thought about what could be happening in our picture and how we would position our art.

Pancakes!

On 4th March it was Shove Tuesday which is traditionally celebrated in England by having pancakes with lemon and sugar.

In cooking club, we measured and mixed the ingredients ourselves and then Miss Lavery cooked the pancakes for us. We topped them with sweet treats and then ate them. They were delicious!

Manga club: Marvel characters!

We began to broaden our horizons this week, drawing not Japanese manga but American Marvel characters! A lot of the techniques are very similar.

 

Writing Rockets

This week in writing rockets we began to write a space based story. We looked at examples of story starters and chose the most exciting one to begin our stories with:

'As I looked out of the spacecraft port-hole....'

Next week we have decided we want to make some more stop motion animations. We'll post our new stop motion movie as soon as it is complete!
