Animations featuring us!

We've finished our animations featuring ourselves. It proved quite a tricky task keeping the camera still as well as our bodies for the photos. Here are a few examples, we hope you enjoy them!

Writing Rockets

This week production fever took over Writing Rockets.....we played a production word association game and from this created our own challenging production puzzles!!

In preparation of our new project: Make a manga graphic novel, we experimented sticking our own characters onto different manga backgrounds- a technique often used by real manga artists! Take a look:

 

 

 

 

 

Paper quilling.

In arts and crafts club we have been learning the intricate art of paper quilling.

It involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs.

Cooking Club

This week we had planned to swap over groups from last week and plant cress and long beans. But because we weren't able to go outside we had to think of something that we could make with the ingredients that we had. We were able to make peppermint cremes which we all really like!

Stop motion featuring us!

This week we have been working hard planning a stop motion animation featuring ourselves. We decided on the setting, the props and story line and then got straight to work creating everything we need. We worked hard and got everything finished, so next week we can start filming!

Planting Club

This week we split our group in half to do two activities.

The first group went downstairs with Miss Lavery to prepare our long bean patch and plant some.

 The second group worked with Kru Anne to decorate a plant pot and plant some Cress seeds.

Badminton and Sports ECA

The KS2 sports ECA members really enjoyed playing table tennis today. We learned how to serve and the how to position ourselves before we return the ball. We then had a tournament.

One way of describing aliens could be to compare it to things that we are familiar with. We described the alien below using similes and even tried to use alliteration within our similes!!
